LARGE CANVAS: Solo Exhibition by Alongkorn Poochamchote:
LARGE CANVAS, as titled, is a display of large oil paintings by Thai artist, Alongkorn Poochamchote (Kob). Better known by his nickname Kob, the artist’s big paintings measuring 11/2 to 3 metres, cannot help but evoke the emotion that he has embedded in the many layers of vibrant colour.
Psalms For The Secular:
Psalms for the Secular brings together Australian lawyer, poet and advocate for human causes, Stewart Levitt and fellow Australian artist, Geoff Todd, who has found in Levitt's poetry a muse for his art.
New WAVE One - Moving In Time:
MOVING IN TIME features 4 artists whose work encapsulates time in moving forms and fleeting images. The paintings and ceramic sculptures speak of memories... like a language of its won existing within parallels of infinite space and time..., masks hiding an inner psyche of rage and conflict... distortion of space..., imagined adversaries in the 'other' person.

Earth, Wind & Fire! is a collection of paintings evoking the fury and gentleness of nature’s forces. The work, in oil, collage and ink, are by a group of Asian and Australian artists and capture the mood and texture of the natural environs they live in.

Playing with the idea of the dot, D'Matto created 40 digital art frames that he made into a book. Not just a book to be read and put away, but a notebook. The artist's reason for putting the art in a notebook format is so "this little story can be a companion in daily life.
InNude Art Exhibition: Paintings and sculpture by a group of female artists celebrating the human form

The exhibition brings together three artists from very different backgrounds - Indonesian Ade, Taiwanese French I Yu and Dutch Jeannette. The collection of works depicts the beauty of the nude form, body language, reflective moments and relationships.

REFLECTION by Diah Yulianti: In Diah Yulianti's paintings the spirit world is an intruiging place of revelation. Her native South Kalimantan origins bring the spiritual plane into daily living. Through her spiritual world Diah reflects on her everyday interactions with those close to her, her relationships and her very existence.
THE ''PIONEERS 4'': The story line behind this exhibition will inspire many Singaporean and Asian artists; tracing the early days of Goh Beng Kwan and his three artist of Singapore origin - Wong Keen, Yu Tian Chen and Choey Kwok Kay. The group of four left Singapore in the early sixties to pursue their artistic interests and education in New York. Goh was the only one of the four to return to Singapore, the other three making lives for themselves in the United States. However, all four went on to establish themselves very successfully in the art world.
PRAISE: Artist, Teguh Ostenrik, surpasses himself once again with this exhibition of religious art. The collection inspired by saints of the Franciscan order, include 2-feet high bronze sculptures of saints, angels and Christ; and in terracotta relief, scenes of the passion and resurrection.
LEGEND & REALITY: A group exhibition by four artists from Myanmar – Aye Ko, Chan Aye, Kyi Wynn, Sann Minn and Nyan Lin Htet. In very different styles, the artists portray people; landscape and the elements; and issues of man’s place in an ever-changing world. The exhibition includes a private collection of one of Myanmar’s best-known contemporary artists, Aung Myint.

THE FLYING ZONE - An urban exploration in colour, texture and movement: Solo exhibition by Enrique Castanon.
The Flying Zone exhibition is a collection of Castanon’s paintings over the last ten years that traces the artist’s progession with colour, texture and form. Castanon is always taking a step forward. He attempts to break away from usual art forms, executing his works in layers that “explore the physical limits of applied colour on carved swirls, dancing with their own shadows while concealing and revealing a drawn figurative image or a suggestive composition” (Quote from Bridget Tracy Tan, Curator, Singapore Art Museum).
HOMO SAPIENS - A portrayal of human nature in paintings and sculptures: Solo exhibition by Teguh Ostenrik.
A rumination on the evolutionary development of a complex creature, Homo Sapiens, uses oil painting, clay and other media to explore the contradictory nature of man. The works portray both the nurturing environment of nature, whose cycle helps give continuity to Homo Sapiens’ life, and the clash which results from the power struggle that is intrinsic to human life. |
